Over the course of the years the demand for production of local equipment has increased immensely. To successfully meet this demand, a carpentry factory was created in 2016.
The creation went through 3 stages:
Firstly funds were raised by the AIVs, which covered the purchase of basic equipment and contributed to the training of a carpenter.
After this first step the carpentry was made completely autonomous. The local construction and sale of beehives, doors, windows, beds and benches for the school, ensures it works independently and can provide for itself.
Thirdly, to ensure the sustainability of the project each year, the manager of the carpentry Trésos Malela trains ten young people, which guarantees continuity for the future.
